I had two reasons behind choosing Merida. One was being in Scotland and being mad I didn’t have a fun dress to run around castles in. The other was the desire to make a ridiculous wig. She’s so much fun to wear, even with the neck pain!

The real hero of this cosplay is the wig. It has 2.5 packs of wefts in multiple colours added, and took 2 days just to get all the rollers into. It was what really made me fall in love with wefting and more “natural” styling. Darth Kitty also did a gorgeous job on my upgraded dress, it is quite heavy so it just moves beautifully.
