Six the Musical
I went to see Six on a whim when a friend was visiting, and it proceeded to take over my playlist for about a year after. Boleyn drew me in particular due to both the skirt being a style that I love, and Kala Gare absolutely owning her Aussie accent in her performance. I desperately need an Australian cast recording.
This costume seriously tested my sewing machine, with all the layers of vinyl. The skirt is reinforced with both buckram and synthetic boning, while the sleeve tabs are strengthened with an internal piece as seen in the show, and stiff interfacing in the top. The shoes are incredibly uncomfortable, but so worth it.
