The Folk of the Air - Holly Black
Jude is from The Folk of the Air book series by Holly Black. I’m always very wary of fae books, but these really nail the beautiful yet creepy and inhuman sense they should have. Also human protagonist who goes out of her way to be absolutely horrible and manipulative, even more so than the fae who raised her? I love her.
The main distinctive features I needed when designing this was her hair horns (for intimidation) and a rowan berry necklace. The rest was patterns I’ve been wanting to try, and things that would be multi-purpose. The rapier I particularly like, it came together over an afternoon from a wooden dowel and worbla.
